Adopt-a-Family

Adopt-A-FamilyEach holiday season, it is important for our chapter not only to appreciate our friends, family, theta sisters, and gifts we have in our lives but to give back to our community. It has become an annual tradition for our chapter to sponsor a Bay Area family in need though the Compass Family Services Adopt-A-Family Program.

This year, we are sponsoring a family of 4 who live in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. We’re hoping to help fulfill some of their holiday hopes by providing a few gifts, as well as some experiences they can do as a family (Children’s Fairyland, bay area museums, etc) to promote fun and learning for their two children.

When asked about the hopes and dreams of their family, they replied “to create a safe environment, encouraging communication, exposing ourselves to various environments, and promoting creativity.”

We couldn’t be more passionate about helping this family have a safe and happy holiday season and hope you’ll join us in supporting this wish.
