November Book Club – The Language of Flowers – November 19th – 7pm
Save the Date! Join us for our November Book Club on Tuesday November 19th at 7pm where we will be discussing The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. Join us at the home of our Young Alumnae Liaison, Lauren Mizrahi and bring a bottle of your favorite beverage or favorite app to share.
A mesmerizing, moving, and elegantly written debut novel, The Language of Flowers beautifully weaves past and present, creating a vivid portrait of an unforgettable woman whose gift for flowers helps her change the lives of others even as she struggles to overcome her own troubled past. This book picks up where the court system leaves off, as children turn 18 and move out of the courts. This book will be an especially interesting read given it’s ties to the similar tones and environments of CASA.
Please RSVP to our Evite if you are planning on joining. Can’t wait to see you there!

The Casual Vacancy – Book Club – May 2nd, 7pm
Please join us for our next book club! We’ve been reading J.K. Rowling’s novel, The Casual Vacancy.
Her first book directed towards an adult audience, The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s most recent published work. The novel explores life in an idyllic provincial English town and how the sudden death of one of it’s most involved patrons affects the entire community – from those who loved him to those who loved to hate him. The novel is blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising.
Our group will meet on Thursday, May 2nd at 7pm at the home of our Book Club Chair Kailey Haught
Please RSVP to the Evite for more details.
